Writer's block.
I’ve been trying to write a poem about the transient/in-between state when someone is between being awake and falling asleep. I’ve been at it for months and months and months, and the perfect words don’t seem to fall into place.

Pardon my profanity, and the reference I am now going to make from “Confessions of a Shopoholic.” (A mockery of my intelligence.)
There will always be a skinny bitch long legs with legs for days that are absolute perfectly pronounced twigs. Hmph!

Today is the day.
I am supposed to find out if I got the Guggenheim internship I applied to 10 weeks ago today. I will be devastated if I didn’t receive this wonderful opportunity. I’ve even been telling the universe daily that I will get it, just to make sure, ya know? Cross your fingers and your toes for me!
